KEY ISSUES

The papers that are proposed to the II International Congress of Collective housing will be organized according to four themes:

1. THEORY AND HISTORY

Theory and history of collective housing.
Historical and contemporary analysis of collective housing projects.
Analysis of domestic spaces and requalified buildings and their transformation processes.

2. HOUSING AS CITY-FORMING

Contemporary issues of the city and urban, legal and economic policies.
Neighborhoods built through collective housing.
Rehabilitation of neighborhoods or declining regions.

3. ASSESSMENTS OF QUALITY AND SUSTAINABILITY CRITERIA

Reviews of possible certifications; measurement systems in multifamily housing; post-occupancy evaluations.
Sustainability Concept of collective housing
Appropriate technological alternatives.

4. HOUSING AND SOCIAL INCLUSION

From exclusion to urban inclusion: public policy, management and planning. Possession of alternatives.
The participation in users self-management: inhabitants, cooperatives, NGOs, among other groups, etc.
Diversity of housing programs.
Slum upgrading.
